BUGGING OUT ON A BIKE

BUGGING OUT ON A BIKE

The roof has just fallen in on you, devastation has hit your neighbourhood, the roads are all but impassable, certainly you cannot get far even in a four-wheel drive vehicle you could walk out, or you could go for bugging out on a bike!  Why not ride a bike out? We’ve seen the

mountain bike that can negotiate even the most difficult terrain. Is this an emergency transportation you should consider? Or my three hundred pound neighbour who now weights 180 lbs. found it a good away to commute to work.

I wanted to set up a bicycle for various emergency situations. It could be used during a electrical failure whereby getting gas from a gas station was not an option. During a longer term situation where I decided to Bug-In instead of Bug-Out, it could be used for travel, and have the ability to carry things on it. In the worst case scenario, whereby Bugging Out on a Bike was necessary, it could be mounted to a vehicle and used as an alternate form of transportation.

I would suggest you also try the all terrain utility bicycles – these bicycles are light weight enough to carry over obstacles or waterway obstructions. When your vehicles run out of fuel during a gas crisis situations, bicycles are a excellent alternative means of travel rather then footing it by alleviating you from carrying heavy loads, food, water & survival essentials. Use your innovative transport imagination and remember to protect the head and eyes with helmets and/or face shields.

No matter what situation bugging out on a bike is always a fun thing to do!

60 mph for 250 miles or 10 mph for as far as you want?
