TRAPPED IN YOUR OWN PARADIGM

TRAPPED IN YOUR OWN PARADIGM

Are you being trapped in your own paradigm? I use the word paradigm that refers to a person that cannot see outside the box they are trapped in, other views are just not known and cannot even be imagined. If Google is your guide you will be so trapped and so will millions of others. Now, when your search engine window pops ups and you search around the internet, sophisticated advertising software will follow you and the appropriate adds will pop up that are determined are your most likely interests. You might say, no harm in that, it is a benefit, I want to know about these things and maybe I’d buy them. But how about the things you have already bought into, like your politics? How about millions of people being presented with only the ideas they like and no opposing points of views. Or better yet, not even knowing there are any legitimate opposing views,  as the world is presented by the main stream media today. Everything you do on the internet is monitored, with that information it can be determined what you are interested in and related information is presented back to you. So far so good? But it is not just the news stories it is the opinions about those stories, it is the political slant that you seem to find pleasing. The problem with that is you get no balance, no conflicting ideas, you are being wrapped in a comfortable cocoon, that does not allow for differing opinions. Get enough of this and you will be rendered defenceless when it comes to having a rational discussion or making an informed decision in these areas. Today millions of people are sharply divided on important issues and that is without the “benefit” of internet feedback. People should be presented with objectionable ideas on a regular basis, it is well worthwhile to know people have differing opinions and why. If the internet feeds back only the things you like it is harmful to you and the people around you. Where am I going wrong here? Let us know what you think, LIKE & SHARE

Brainwashing is not exactly what I am talking about, but close, watch this:
