SHOULD MEXICO RELEASE SGT. TAHMOORESSI WHAT DO YOU THINK

Should Mexico release Sgt. Tahmooressi what do you think.

Since 2008, Congress has appropriated $2.1 billion to help Mexico deepen its commitment to the rule of law. How foolish and hypocritical to demand that Mexico now ignore the very justice system we’ve encouraged it to create. – Robin Abcarian – L. A. TimesShould Mexico release Sgt. Tahmooressi what do you think.  Is it hypocritical to expect Mexico to be a good neighbour? I’ll tell you one area of law Mexico has never needed the U. S. Congress’ help with, which is enforcing the law that forbids illegals to work in Mexico. In the U.S.A. if a District Attorney decides, for whatever reason, not to prosecute a person that person is set free. I would be surprised if the same procedures did not apply in Mexico.

Mexico has vast amounts of natural resources, from oil to minerals, it has vast areas for agriculture and it has a large and inexpensive work force. Mexico has great weather and seacoasts that support a massive tourists industry. So explain to me why they need the financial support of the U.S.A. For decades Mexicans have immigrated to the U.S.A., settled into better paying jobs and lives than they could have in Mexico and then they send millions of U. S. Dollars back to their relatives in Mexico, another benefit Mexico gets from the U.S.A. As there is no incentive for Mexico to cooperate with the U.S.A. Should Mexico release Sgt. Tahmooressi what do you think. Culturally they are quite different. Politically, if a Mexican politician seems pro U.S.A. they will not be reelected. Financially, they are not hurting.

Sgt. Tahmooressi really made a wrong turn going into Mexico.  Should Mexico release Sgt. Tahmooressi what do you think.  This is a lesson all Americans should heed.
